Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Consultant to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Key responsibilities include conducting specialist consultations, preparing personalised treatment plans, performing appropriate surgical procedures, and managing preoperative and postoperative care. The consultant may treat conditions such as impacted teeth, facial trauma, jaw abnormalities, oral infections, cysts, tumours, temporomandibular joint disorders, and salivary-gland diseases. The role involves working closely with dentists, orthodontists, anaesthetists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. The consultant will also maintain accurate clinical records, follow all relevant clinical and safety standards, participate in audits and quality-improvement initiatives, and support the development of junior clinical staff where required. The ideal candidate will have recognised qualifications in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, relevant professional registration, suitable clinical experience, and excellent communication and decision-making skills. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical practice, teamwork, and positive patient outcomes.
